Various Aster spp. are used in Tibetan medicine. Difficult to discern and also the local doctors seemed not to be too sure which one is the actual "lug mig".
Sometimes in Tibetan medicine whole groups or even an entire genus of a plant family are named with one name. But then you might find attributes like "inferior" or "superior" attached which that name which discern distinct species.
